Another Loss for the Storm Family
Coach Terry Purcell passed away on Thursday June 8th after a short
illness. A long time club coach, he had coached at various levels since our
first full year of operation in 1996. Few have the passion Terry
possessed for teaching our youth as a teacher at Cutler Middle School and as
a coach at Fitch High School. He is survived by his wife Cynthia, and
children Caitlin, Courtney and Colin. Our thoughts and prayers go out to
them.

The
Connecticut Storm Family Mourns the Loss of Athlete

On
Thursday, April 13, Katelyn Ritacco died in a traffic accident on
I-395. Katelyn was a member of the Connecticut Storm 16 White travel team
coached by Gina Derosier and Willie Bousquet. She had been a long time club
member joining the club as a member of the spring league in 2001 while she was
in the sixth grade. She moved to the travel team program in 2002 where she
continued to compete. She was a devoted friend and teammate who always carried
a bright and cheerful outlook to life. Please remember Katelyn’s family, Tom,
Cheryl and brother Nicholas, and teammates in your thoughts and prayers.
‘Taco’, we miss
you.
